Book Design / Cubist Picasso

Picasso and the Cubist art movement explored and pushed the boundaries of space-time depth as featured in the layout and design this fun book project. Both he and Georges Braque collaborated at times, playfully competing over the concept of these very conceptual and tangible boundaries — the ability to create a sense of movement and speed within an art canvasses flat plane and fluidity of paint seemingly pouring out the next surmise of it’s possibilities. I chose Prater Sans for the font, to evoke the organic nature of a handwritten font and balanced it with the ease of readabiity of Futura, a san serif font.
